Glynn's Fave At Home Cocktail
My favorite cocktail in all of LA is the Sofia at Café Stella in Silverlake. It hits all my requirements for a good drink – not too sweet, involves mezcal, is pink and pretty. Kidding. Sort of. It is magical, trust me and always the perfect shade of pink with a delicate little pile of lime zest on top. Here it is below looking wonderful (image via TimeOutLA).
I fancy myself a A+ bartender but likely cant be bothered to slice a razor thin lime peel in to one millimeter strips and I don’t always have mezcal on hand at home so this is my quick and easy but still very tasty and very pretty version of the Sofia. You don’t need any special ingredients and the only labor required is the slicing of a lime. I put this bev on Instastories a few weeks back and got a few questions so here you go!
You’ll need:
Your favorite silver tequila
Campari
Soda
A lime
Fill glass with ice. (I love the big cubes – tray to make them here)
Pour in 2 oz tequila
Pour in 4 oz soda (or as much as you like to fill your glass)
Pour in 1 tablesppon Campari and stir.
Top with a lime slice.
Serve with a salty snack and enjoy!
