Cosa Buona
So we’d been wanting to go to Cosa Buona for awhile and after one failed Friday night attempt – an hour and a half wait at 9pm – we realized that stopping in for a pre-Dodgers game dinner might be the best move. And hoorah! It was! We had the place almost to ourselves when we arrived and grabbed two seats at the bar. The food comes out really quickly here so we didn’t stress about being late for the game. Joy!

"Fall" in LA
It is officially Fall which in LA means a few more weeks of 80+ temps are in order. And yet there is always a day or two when it is under 70 for an hour or two before 9am and everyone is suddenly wearing giant sweaters like it is not going to be twenty degrees warmer in a matter of minutes. Basically the only way to tell when it is Fall in LA is when you see two friends eating lunch and one is in a sundress and the other is in a turtleneck and boots.

Home Tour - Living Room
The living room space is open and bright, with a full wall of glass doors on one side that open out to the deck. All things which are amazing. But the space is long and narrow so it took a minute to figure out the best way to organize it. I didn’t want to block things off too much on the deck side of the room. I wanted a comfortable place to lounge and watch TV and a still comfortable but slightly more refined space on the dining room end of things.

Malibu Seafood Co
Malibu Seafood has been a long time fave. Particularly good for impressing visiting guests – yes it is always 75 and sunny at the beach and we spend all of our days eating extremely fresh seafood at the beach – this is LA! It is also great for a lazy weekend day when you have no plans. No matter what time of year, on a sunny day a drive up PCH is hard to beat.

Sorta Beachy
There are so many days in LA when you want to be near the beach, next to the beach and maybe even on the beach for a bit but it is not going to be a dip in the ocean, full sun type of day. It can be tricky to dress for these days. You want to be in something light and breezy but still something that looks like real clothes. Something you wont look crazy in if you somehow end up at dinner in Silverlake at the end of the day.

Lodge Bread Co
Lodge Bread Co has become a weekend breakfast + lunch fave for us. It is a bit of a drive from our house but totally worth it for the amazing array of carbs they create. As the name suggests they make a lot of bread here. They started out as a little bakery selling mostly their pretty rustic loaves and some pastries and snacks. They started out serving pizza on the weekends and then expanded into a bigger space so they could offer a bigger menu and beer and wine – hooray!

Extra Casual
It’s been extra hot in LA the past few days and putting on anything other than a swim suit has felt like a real chore. We managed to get ourselves together for some tacos at Salazar – a spot I had wanted to go to for months. The tacos did not disappoint and the charming courtyard out front was an added bonus – perfect spot to snap a few quick shots.

Review: Topo Designs Daypack
Since this is my first review I want to start by saying that I am, in general, obsessed with the details. When I look to buy product or introduce something into my daily lifestyle, no detail, no matter how big or small goes, un-researched and un-obsessed over. Before selecting the Topo Designs Daypack, about a months research went into selecting the perfect option to accompany Glynn and I on our adventures

Glynn's Fave At Home Cocktail
My favorite cocktail in all of LA is the Sofia at Café Stella in Silverlake. It hits all my requirements for a good drink – not too sweet, involves mezcal, is pink and pretty. Kidding. Sort of. It is magical, trust me and always the perfect shade of pink with a delicate little pile of lime zest on top.

Home Tour - Master Bath
The one thing I knew when designing my master bathroom was that I wanted it to be ALL WHITE. When I would browse Pinterest and screen shot Instagrams the bathrooms I liked always had a bit of color or at least black integrated into them but I knew I wanted to start with an absolutely clean slate and go from there. My contractors and architect thought I must be exaggerating my commitment to the allwhite theme and were always making jokes about gifting me bright pink towels. Um no.

Date Night Dressing - Summer Sundays
Our date night style in LA is fairly casual but we usually step it up a bit from whatever we’ve been running around town in all day. In the summer that usually means a dress for Glynn and jeans for Cam. The accessories usually dress thing up for Cam and tone them down for Glynn.

Summer Dinner With Friends
A summer night is really the easiest time to have people over. Summer food generally requires less work because there are so many fresh vegetables that need very little dressing up to taste great. And it is much easier, or at least more pleasant to chat and hang out with guests while watching a grill than while hovering over the stove in a hot kitchen.

New York City - Part Two
On Monday we started with Glynn’s dream breakfast at Dimes. And then headed to The Whitney. After the art, we took a break at The Standard for wine and snacks. We obviously had to stop at Jeffrey for a quick browse – Cam was forced to watch all the SNL skits in advance as preparation.

New York City - Part One
Our trip to New York was prompted by an invite to a friend’s birthday dinner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns – I mean, obviously we were in – and we decided to stay for a few days for some New York exploring. We had a couple meetings on the books but most of our days were free to wander, shop, and eat. Woohoo!

Date Night Dressing
Sometimes we dress up! Actually a lot of the time. And apparently everyday when in New York. For some reason when traveling I always feel like I need to look extra cute so I tend to pack only dresses as though I will be attending a fabulous event every night of the trip. This means that if the weather turns I’m pretty much out of luck. And of course that I am ready for last minute invited to fancy parties. It also means that even a casual dinner out while traveling feels like a special occasion, which, is obviously lovely.

Kona
We took a somewhat impromptu long weekend trip to Hawaii to hang out with friends and it was maybe the best idea ever. We were lucky enough to be staying at a friend’s family home so all we had to do was book a flight. With pretty much zero planning required it was an impossible invitation to pass up. We were staying near Kona on the big island and the weather was pretty much perfect the entire time so we could make the most of our short trip.
